Remo D’Souza to don the producer’s hat
Adding another feather to his already crowded cap, choreographer-director Remo D’Souza is all geared up to turn producer with his next, an action flick
One of India’s ace choreographers, Remo D’Souza tried on the hat of a director for India’s first 3D dancing film ABCD and tasted a degree of success. His earlier college caper F.A.L.T.U. with Jackie Bhagnani and Riteish Deshmukh also did pretty well. Now Remo wants to try his luck as a producer with his next film, anaction flick called Amar Must Die, which will star Rajeev Khandelwal and Zarine Khan in the lead.Confirming the news Remo said, “Yes, I am looking at producing the film featuring both Rajeev and Zarine. However, though both of them have been confirmed, as of now we are not a 100 percent sure of the details.” Going one step further, Remo is even looking at launching his own production house with Amar Must Die. “I am looking at turning producer with this film. In fact, I will be launching my own production banner Remo D’Souza Films,” added the choreographer.
We hear that Rajeev and Zarine will be seen doing some power-packed action stunts in the film. And, to add that extra tadka, Remo is trying to get an international team on board for this movie. If he gets Rajeev to lose that urban yuppie look and get with the toughie thing, and if Zarine loses the weight she still carries, even after all her slimming down after the disastrous Salman Khan film Veer! Looks like the ABCD director has a lot of work ahead of him if he wants to put his best foot forward as a producer too!
Amar Must Die – which is apparently the remake of the Hollywood film Crank – is likely to go on floors next month and will be directed by Param Gill.
